Plan for tomorrow: edit brunch read

It’s time to relax. Beer in the primary fermenter, lunch has been eaten, and more editing done.

I’ve started brewing a batch of winter ale (ginger spruce cinnamon chocolate stout.) #beer

Do people still play bridge? Or even cards?

Happy National Rhubarb Vodka Day …whatever that is.

New batch of sourdough starter kicked in over night. #baking

Good morning. Don’t berate yourself. Time for the ceremonial coffee.

“Trampled By Wolves” should be the name of a metal band. #music

I miss traveling. #travel

I wonder if I should pick up another programming language in 2022.

“Even a white knight will eventually turn from gray to black.” #writing

It’s interesting that many people like to be told what to think. It’s especially evident in sports, news, and finance. “Opinions as programming” is the easy way to make money and lemmings. Opinions don’t require explanation or proof. #failure #media

We all have past lives. Some of us outgrow them. #life #success

“When there is no family, no friends, you choose the world only to discover you have chosen a lot of drunk racist uncles.” #life

If you don’t laugh at yourself, you end up laughing at others. Laugh at yourself. #life #failure

You have to have a sense of humor in this world. If you don’t have one, I know a guy who has some black-market humor.

My #nanowrimo time-travel story went out to a beta reader I trust. We shall see if it’s worth editing. I think it is;… #writing

“He was slime. He oozed into your life then stuck around until you were forced to break off the encrustacion.” #writing

I made some progress on figuring out the data format I’m reverse engineering. It may be documented somewhere, but I find I learn more doing it this way. #ios #data

“Never foretell the future until you’ve lived it.” #writing

Trips in 2022 to Italy is probably out. Japan definitely. Still hoping to go to Minneapolis/Bouchercon. We shall see… #travel

It just hit me as very strange that restaurant servers, here in the US, sometimes ask, “Would you like to put some food in?” Grammatcally and conceptually it is weird.

I should start planning 2022, assuming I get there. I guess all my trips are out again. Curse you #COVID #Omicron, etc.
