Write a captivating story with no conflict. It’s doable. But probably won’t sell. #writing #prompt

What, if anything , are you looking forward to tomorrow?

I’ve said this before. You need a sense of humor. I fyou don’t have one, rent one.

My mind works in mysterious ways. Misread this as “Hamster Lite” #beer

Cool! I think I sold a couple of copies of my book at the hotel bar. Always carrying your book starts conversations and thats how I sell most of my books since I don’t market. #books @marketing

I’m contemplating bread pudding for dessert.

‘There is no greater cathedral than Life. There is no greater god than the living. There is no greater power than kindness borne of knowlege #writing

It’s called the holiday “travel rush” here in the States to spend time with people you don’t like or agree with? Relatives you scorn and avoid most of the year You’re better off spending time with those you love and your pets. There is no law that says you have to spend time with elatives. #life

Dinner. Salmon. #food

Wake up tomorrow. Be grateful that you did. That’s enough for tomorrow and every day. #life

“I don’t know what I am doing, but I do it better than anyone I know.” #writing

People who buy fiction books do so to escape their lives, and rarely seek perfection. #fiction @writing

An opinionated life should be based on fact, not belief or conjecture. #life

‘A totem pole with just your face would be boring and sad.” #writing

Be a grateful being. You don’t need a reason or holiday. If you believe you have nothing to be grateful for, you are focusing on what you don’t have, not what you do have. #life #gratitude

Learn to tell a good story first, then worry about style and technique-unless you are trying to write “literature”. #writing

I’m not sure if these are real or dummy copies, but the Chicago Manual of Style is among them. Nice selection in the hotel bar, where I am writing #books #hotel #writing

Ok I found a nearby Irish restaurant open tomorrow.

Readers don’t care about technique. People tend not to care about the structure or the occasional grammatical error. They are more interested in being entertained, moved, and inspired in that order. The story comes first. Everything else is polish. #writing

“You’re only as funny as you look.” #writing #throwawayline

Time for a break. I’m at around 7K words. I need to plan the next set of scenes. This is going to be a short novel at 50K, but longer than a simple pulp story. #writing #pulp

Expect less. Do more. #life #success

I’m enjoying writing this book. It’s definitely a rough first draft, but, to me, it feels very pulp-like and has a decent amount of humor—stuff, I was aiming for. #writing
