A neighbor just asked me if I knew the meaning of a word his daughter had on her vocab and spelling test. The word was “flibbertigibbet”. It’s something that seems perfectly at home in Willy Wonka and the Chocolatarium. Education in the US is behind the times given the etymology. #words #writing
