“The Cult of the Jelly Doughnut Eaters”

1st draft done. A fun short story to write. I don’t know how many words since it’s all handwritten. I’ll start transcribing and editing tomorrow. Nice opening. Middle fight-scene takes up most of the story, and a twist at the end. It works. It needs polish. I have two weeks. #writing #shortstory.

Whose expectations do you try to live up to, someone else’s or your own? If you aren’t trying to live up to your own, you are letting others dictate your life. #life

“You go on ahead. I’ll just stay here and hide behind this troll.” #writing #throwawayliine

It’s time to finish this short story for Creatures, Crime, and Creativity. #writing #mdc3con

Early look at my writing app’s UI. I can now generate SwiftUIs dynamically—that’s one in the inspector. #swiftui #writing

Good morning, all. Make room for compassion in your life. Time for the ceremonial coffee.

Plan for tomorrow: — more XCode — more writing — more editing — more food

“The thing is, humans misunderstand me. I didn’t set out to create the Universe. I was trying to make breakfast, but autocorrect messed up my recipe.” God

“Do you make people laugh?” “Only when I’m dead.”

What if the Fediverse included streams in addition to social? Local weather? stock watchlists? Media? Personal? A “life stream”! That’s the idea behind what I’m working on, The Continuity. It’s a personal project, so it won’t see public release, but I see it as the next evolution of social media.

Tagging something as important doesn’t make it important. Also, just because something is important means it’s tagged. #programming #life

Just because a programming language has a feature, it doesn’t mean you have to use it. #programming

Time to eat. Writing done, for now. I just need to put a ribbon on it. That’s for tomorrow. Then the transcription and editing slog begin. #writing #mdc3con

“He had a peanut butter and jelly scar down his chin.” #writing

“He loved his job. He made and sold things that made people happy, and tasted good. He was a culinary genius. But, for the life of him, he didn’t understand why people avoided his restaurant, The Crema Crematorium.” #writing #throwawayline

Time to work on the short story and eat things again.

I’m finagling with the new inspectors in SwiftUI. Seems they are inconsistent/still broken across platforms, at least for me. #xcode #swiftui

Good morning. It’s Monday again. You’re probably bustling. Remember to breathe and hydrate today. Time for the ceremonial coffee.

Good morning. Learn to say and accept “No”. Time for the ceremonial coffee.
