The Body - #writing
The sun sparkled off the waters in a glitter-like pattern. The chill wind made him shiver, but his nerves had already done that. He looked at the worn green duffel-bag next to him. He knew, at the time, it had been a mistake–an accident. No one would know–only he would. Stuffing it in the bag had been difficult, but it had to be done. He’d get away with it. Steeling himself, he lifted the bag and using both arms hurled it into the waiting ocean.
A sigh of relief and mental anguish escaped him as he watched the bag of leisure-suits, acrylic shirts, and worn bell-bottoms sink. He turned away, ready to let go of the ‘70s and live in the present.
