My parents wanted me to be “cultured”—they got me “Classics Illustrated” comics. They were fine. But there was more. A person isn’t yogurt. Culture isn’t’ something to which to aspire.. Let your kids read and define themselves. You haven’t failed as a parent if they aren’t a clone of you.
