If you assume you have free-will because you can choose or that some being somehow gave you a superpower, why do you assume that animals can’t choose between two options? Choosing doesn’t require rational thought. And the assumption that humans are somehow superior is a self-centrist fallacy. It’s like assuming Europeans were somehow superior because they said so.
