Turkey Day is rolling up fast. This year? It’s been an illusory dream—or nightmare. You woke up celebrating the new year with all of its plans and hopes. You took a breath only to discover you are a year older but barely wiser. You’ve accomplished much, but too little. You look in the mirror and discover a shade of yourself. You are in your own parallel universe, a world that exists but you couldn’t predict with no way to return to what you once were.
Then you notice the small helpless creature. You smile. You are thankful you have come this far.
