If a program says “I think, therefore I am” it doesn’t mean it is either. If a monkey types “Hamlet” we’d call it intelligent. But if a monkey in a room full of monkeys does the same thing, we’d say it’s probability. In both cases, that doesn’t mean they know what they’re doing.
