OK. That’s enough writing for the first day. Day 1: 3647 words, a bit over my goal. I could do more, but I figure there is no sense in burning myself out on the first day. #writing #nanowrimo

The sun is out. The world goes on despite it being NaNoWriMo and November. Little things like the sun reflecting off the pond make me smile. There is more to existence than what my mind comes up with. Sometimes, it’s hard remembering that. We tend to live in our own thoughts. Many tend to live …

Backup your work. Backup your tools.

It just hit me that I’ve already surpassed the 1667 word goal for a normal NaNoWriMo day. Woot! I hope I can maintain the pace. #writing

It’s time for lunch and a break. The story so far: 1914 words. I’m over half way to my daily goal. I have discovered a couple of bugs in the new version of the writing app that I had to deal with. #writing #nanowrimo

Happy National Calzone Day. Wish I had one… lunch is coming.

Time for a break, so I can take care of a few things. 3 sprints. 1285 words. Not a bad start. #writing #nanowrimo

FIrst sprint done. My goal is 280 wps, in order to hit 100Kw. I wrote 460. Don’t get overconfident… don’t get overconfident… #writing #nanowrimo

Let the record show that I am now starting the first 25 minute sprint. #writing #nanowrimo

Hm. I should be able to publish MQTT from Swift, shouldn’t I? I’m thinking about using a RaspberryPi NaNo display as a writing dashboard from my writing app. But that will have to wait until after November is over. #writing #ios #swift #mqtt #raspberrypi

Good morning. It’s a suitably dank and dreary morning for the start of NaNoWriMo. Time for the ceremonial coffee.

Hopefully, no one will resurrect a Demon God while I sleep. Happy Halloween.

Gonna call it a day. Don’t let the clowns eat you tonight.

“Life is a sideshow and we are all freaks.” Happy Halloween! #writing

Gah! I just checked. This will be my 14th straight NaNoWriMo, and hopefully my 14th win. #writing #nanowrimo

The hardest part of tomorrow will be coming up with the first line. I always struggle with that. #writing #nanowrimo

If you feel scared you will fail, you are imposing your emotions on the future. You won’t know if you will fail, or not, unless you try. Don’t let your emotions control what you do or what you think. #life #success

First full day away from the Bird site. Not doom/spam scrolling has a nice feel to it. I just did a quick scan to see if I needed to reply to anyone, and having deleted about half of the people I followed on there has simplified things.

I just verified I’m all set to go on the NaNoWriMo site. 4K words per day for me. I’m unsure I’ll be able to sustain, but I’m sure going to try. If you need a buddy on the NaNo site, feel free to add me. #writing #nanowrimo

Phew. I think I’m ready for November.
